Jorge has only a few weeks with his five-year-old son Natan before he leaves to live with his mother in Rome. Intent on teaching Natan about their Mayan heritage, Jorge takes him to the pristine Chinchorro reef, and eases him into the rhythms of a fisherman's life. As the bond between father and son grows stronger, Natan learns to live in harmony with life above and below the surface of the sea.

This is probably one of the most moving movies I have seen about a loving relationship between a father and a son. I loved the beautiful surroundings and how the father taught the little boy so much. The Grandpa did, too. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone! Loved the egret scenes, too!

Michele - Customer Review
The simplistic luxury of living with nature is so well captured by film maker Pedro Gonzalez-Rubio it's both a visual gift and visceral one. The raw vulnerability of this part of the world where you live with nature and not against it is best portrayed with little dialog. Never forced, just flow. It's a really beautiful way to spend a couple hours. The breathtaking wildness of Jorge, the unspoiled beauty of the Sea and the luminous light filled face of Natan. Gonzalez Rubio is the strong silent type.

This film seems a lot more like a documentary than a drama. Gorgeous cinematography dominates this film. As a viewer, I felt like I was the little boy taking in all the wonders the sea has to offer. The boy takes a vacation from his mother in Rome to spend some time with his father who lives off the sea.
