"From the frozen plains of North Dakota comes this wonderfully bizarre story about three people searching for love in the oddest way."
– Sundance Institute
"An unnervingly romantic, starkly humorous, and startlingly composed drama."
– The Huffington Post,
As a high plains drifter travels across the wintry North Dakota prairie, he finds a man lying unconscious in the middle of the road. After defrosting, the man explains that he's on his way to meet his penpal girlfriend for the first time as she's being released from prison. Desperate for a girlfriend of his own, the drifter hatches a plan to steal his new companion's identity.

Thought-provoking and haunting in its own way, the bleak snowscape becomes a fourth character in this study of of loneliness.

The film has stunning views of the prairie however the sound quality is horrible.

A Valentine's night movie with your special someone should be about hope and feeling good about love. "Prairie Love" offers none of that. It's actually depressing.
