Matthew Saville

Matthew has been a prolific contributor to the recent crop of Australian television sketch comedy, directing both skitHouse for Channel Ten and Big Bite for the Seven Network. He has also worked in television drama, directing The Secret Life of Us and The Surgeon for Channel Ten. In 2005 Matthew directed the very successful comedy The Nominees, which screened on the Sundance Channel, won the Rose d’Or for Best Comedy Series, and was nominated for best comedy series at the 2006 Banff Awards. It won two Logie awards in the same year.

Matthew recently completed the libretto for a contemporary Opera, which will be performed this year by Chamber Made Opera at the Melbourne Festival. He is currently in post-production on The King, a biopic about television iconoclast Graham Kennedy.
