Paprika Steen

Paprika Steen is a Danish actress and film director. In 1998, Steen became an active participant in the Dogme 95 film movement, and was the only performer to appear in the first three movies: Lars Von Trier's The Idiots, The Celebration by Thomas Vinterberg, and Søren Kragh-Jacobsen's Mifune's Last Song. In 2003 she became the first actress since 1949 to win Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories in the same year at the Robert Festival, the Danish equivalent of the Oscars. Her recent performance in Martin Zandvliet's Applause, is garnering rave reviews at film festivals around the world.
