Pavel Liska is one of the most recognizable actors in the Czech Republic. Born in 1971, he studied acting at Brno drama academy, before joining the HaDivadla theatre company. His film career began in 1999 when director Sasa Gedeon cast him in the lead role in Return of the Idiot (Navrat idiota). Liska won a Czech Lion, the highest film award in the Czech Republic, for his performance in SOMETHING LIKE HAPPINESS. He has also received nominations for his work in Wild Bees, Return of the Idiot and THE COUNTRY TEACHER.
