Maren Ade

Ade studied at the University for Television and Film in Munich, Germany.  THE FOREST FOR THE TREES is her graduation film, which was shot in 26 days in Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden.  Ade shot on video and the documentary quality of the project is due to the cinematographer, Nikolai von Graevenitz, who has extensive documentary experience. Ade's second feature film, Everyone Else won the Silver Bear at the 2009 Berlin Int'l Film Festival and was an Official Selection at the New York and Seattle Film Festivals.
