Junichi Fujisawa was born in 1950 and made his debut in 1985 with Kapone Ooi ni Naku(Dir. Seijun Suzuki), after which he participated in many movies as cinematographer. Some of his more notable films are Sakura no Sono (Dir. Nakahara Shun, 90), Yumeji (Dir. Seijun Suzuki, 91), Tsuki ha Dotchi ni Deteru (Dir. Yoichi Sai, 93), for which he also won the Yokohama Film Festival Award for best cinematographer, Hatsukoi (Dir. Tetsuo Shinohara, 2000) and Battle Royal (Dir. Kinji Fukusaku, 03).
